Throughout
2008 Presbyterian Women are celebrating 350 years of church service. On
March 31st at 7:30 pm, Circle 1 is hosted a guest speaker, Dr.
Natalie Naylor who spoke on “
We
are looking forward to hosting the Spring Brunch for the Choir between services
on Easter Sunday, March 23rd. On
April 1st and May 6th at 9:30 am the PW coordinating team
will meet in the Fiske room. The
meetings are open; please feel free to join us. At
11:30 am on May 7th, we will celebrate our 350th
anniversary and the arrival of spring with a “High Tea” luncheon featuring a
musical program “Songs My Mother Taught Me” starring Martha Tibbets and her
daughter Jennifer with accompaniment by Ken Friese. To join in on the fun, mail
your check for $15.00 to On
May 10th, we are pleased to join with the Deacons for a Mother’s
Day plant sale. In addition to the
beautiful flowering plants for sale, there will be golf items, delicious baked
goods, jewelry and white elephant items available for purchase.
The
circles are currently in progress of making Hygiene Kits for Church World
Services. Each kit includes: a hand towel, a wash cloth, a wide tooth comb, a
nail clipper, a bar of soap, a toothbrush, six band-aids. We will be making
approximately 55 kits for CWS this year. If you are interested in helping out
